Noelle's Wish List

My primary interest this year is to invest some time and money into my photography. I want to buy a new camera, purchase some intro lighting equipment and buy some post-production materials so I can fancify my photos. :) All of these items are outside of our budget -- so I think a VISA card would help me hurdle those financial obstacles.

If you are more drawn to the tangible gift ideas - I need a new timer for the kitchen. I love the OXO Triple Timer at Williams Sonoma. I am interested in expanding my abilities in Asian Cooking. And I love fun silver, ethnic looking earrings like:

Dad / G / George / Papou /

It's beginning to sound alot like Christmas - with every blog we write........
After careful consideration, in addition to the standard wishes (world peace, toys for all the poor children, and socks) I've added the following:
As the owner of a new Verizon IPhone 4s (some might think I've gone to the dark side) I'm interested in IPhone accessories.
Retractable car charger
6 ft USB Data Sync Cable
Sync & Charge Dock Stand
Suction Stand
Other things that a gaget guy would like
Amazon seems to have IPhone stuff pretty cheap
Alarm clock for the bedroom end table
Rotary cheese grater (like the servers use at restaurants)
Audio Book - George W. Bush - Decision Points
theaudiobookstore.com seems to have reasonable prices
Non-stick skillets (8" and 12")

Tim's ACTUAL List...

1) OK, if you're going to get me a thong, at least get me a Redskins one so I'll actually wear it...
2) If you can find it, you have way too much time on your hands (yes, this is a challenge), but I REALLY want either a 1958 Chevy Cameo Fleetside or 1959 Chevy Apache Fleetside model or toy truck.... It can be a model that I have to make or a toy already made! And if you can't find the toy then a real one will do...
3) Trekking poles.
4) Cordless power drill - we've gone thru three cheep-o's... hoping to not need another one in 6 months!
5) Nice winter hat (that I can wear for work)
6) Other easy winners are GCs to J. Crew, iTunes or EMS.

Jack's Christmas Wish-List:

Jack mostly likes to get right in the middle of what Addie is trying to do and mess it all up.

He could also use:
  1. A sleep sack
  2. board books without too many words (*short attention span)
  3. jeans (18 to 24 months)
  4. sweater/sweatshirt (2T/24 months)
  5. onesies (2T)
  6. Patriots gear...especially a helmet that can hang next to the redskins one in his room
  7. Cause/effect toys that light up and make noise when he pushes buttons (unfortunate for me)

Addie's Wish List

So far, Addie has only mentioned that she wants Santa to turn Jack into a girl for Christmas so she can have a sister.
Otherwise, I think she'd enjoy:
  1. PJs (4T)
  2. Books - she loves the Elephant and Piggy series, and any other books with great pictures that she can use to narrate a story on her own.
  3. She loves to play "store" so she'd love paper to take "orders" and pretend money, etc
  4. Puzzles (from 25 to 100-piece with big pieces)
  5. Leapfrog books - she has the "tag" reader but the only book she has to go with it is "green eggs and ham." She'd love: The Cat in the Hat or Finding Nemo or others like these.
  6. bead stringing kit
  7. stamp kit
  8. Movies: The Land Before Time, Curious George, Finding Nemo, or Cars Toon

Lindsay-Lou's List

3) Gift certificate for a fun meal while we're at Disney
4) "Something More" or "Simple Abundance" by Sarah Ban Breathnach
5) Socks
6) Driving gloves
7) A fun date - with you, with Dan, with Vi
8) Long-sleeve, scoop-neck cotton shirts.

Vi's Wishlist

We'd really like to encourage you to give Vi the gift of an experience this year, rather than more "stuff." A) We have a small house B) I'm a Hippy C) Memories last a lifetime D) We want her to know Christmas as a time for family and fun.

A trip to the Children's Museum, a fun park, or something like that would be so great.

If you really want a "thing" to wrap up and give her, here are some things she has asked for this year:

1) A rocket ship with astronaut dolls
2) A new tea set
3) Star Wars or superhero dress-up
4) CDs of fun music (even a mix of your favorites)
5) Fun, warm tights

One other note - all of the princess dress-up stuff from last year still fits and is used regularly, so she really doesn't need any more tutus or dress-up shoes.

As Vi was falling asleep last night, on Thanksgiving, she said she was thankful for her cousins, aunts and uncles, and family. True Story. Looking forward to seeing all of you!

By the way, Amazon has some awesome new functionality [new to me, anyway] on its Wish List. When you click an item from there and attempt to view its detail page, Amazon alerts you if this item, "may have been purchased [from your Wish List] recently". Helpful to avoid duplication.
